IBC BANK-BROWNSVILLE VICE PRESIDENT SUSAN WISDOM ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

(FEB. 13, 2019) BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS - Susan Wisdom, Vice President for IBC Bank-Brownsville, will officially retire at the beginning of February. After working for more than 2 decades at IBC Bank, Wisdom says it is time to pass the torch.
"It has been an honor to be part of this great company over the last 20 plus years and I am extremely proud of the value we have created together for our customers," said Wisdom. "I want to take this opportunity to thank IBC Bank for the platform afforded to me and my team. It has been my privilege to work alongside such talented and dedicated people."

During Wisdom's tenure, she served as the cashier/operations manager and worked her way up through the ranks to a corporate position. Her recent responsibilities included Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Asset Control compliance (OFAC), where she managed and enforced economic and trade sanctions based on U.S. policy and national security goals.
"Susan has played an integral part of the success of IBC Bank-Brownsville, and we are appreciative for her many years of service to the bank, Cameron County and the Rio Grande Valley," said Al Villarreal, IBC Bank-Brownsville president & CEO. "While we will certainly miss Susan, she helped build a team that is well prepared to continue moving IBC Bank-Brownsville forward in the future."

With more than 40 years of banking experience, Wisdom has proudly spent those years giving back to the community in the spirit of IBC Bank's credo "We Do More", serving on boards for the Salvation Army and Loaves & Fishes.
In addition, she is a certified anti-money laundering specialist and a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), a worldwide organization committed to advancing financial crime professionals.
Wisdom attended Texas A&M Kingsville. She and her husband, Mike Wisdom, will be celebrating their 46th anniversary this year. Upon her retirement, Wisdom plans to volunteer in the community, travel, and spend more time with family.
